Privacy Policy

MyDemesne is a private financial coach for homeownership. We built it so that the most sensitive information you give us (credit reports, bank balances, savings goals) lives on your device with strong encryption, not on a server we can read.
What we collect
We collect only what we need to do the job you signed up for.
- Account info. If you create an account (as an agent or broker), we store your email, display name, brokerage, and chosen plan tier. Prospects using the app without an account are identified only by an opaque per-device ID.
- Financial readiness on your device. Your bank balances and transaction data, any credit reports you upload, your savings goal and timeline, and household details are stored locally on your device with industry-standard encryption. The decryption key is generated and held by your device.
- Readiness signals shared with your agent. If you link with an agent, we share a small summary with them: your display name, contact details you chose to provide, an overall readiness percentage, and yes/no flags for milestones such as "bank connected" or "credit qualified". We do not share raw transactions, account balances, credit-report contents, or specific dollar figures.
- Payment info. Subscription payments are processed by a payment provider that handles your card details directly. We receive only a customer identifier and your subscription status. We never see your card number.
- Waitlist email. If you join the waitlist on mydemesne.com, we keep your email until launch so we can notify you. You can ask us to delete it any time.
- Crash reports. Anonymized technical data is sent to a crash-reporting provider so we can fix bugs. These reports do not contain personal data or financial values.
What we don't collect
- We don't sell your data. Ever.
- We don't share data with advertisers or data brokers.
- We don't store your bank login credentials. Bank connections are handled by a specialized provider that holds those credentials directly and never shares them with us.
- We don't train AI models on your personal financial data.
Third parties
We rely on established, vetted providers for narrowly-scoped functions. We share only what each provider needs to do its job:
- A bank-data aggregation provider, for read-only access to your bank accounts when you connect them.
- A cloud database provider, for storing the small set of account fields described above.
- A payment provider, for processing subscription payments.
- An AI provider, for generating your daily recommendations. We send only the minimum context needed (your goals and milestone flags), never raw bank data or credit-report contents.
- Cloud infrastructure providers, for hosting the website and backend services.
- Mobile platform push services (Apple and Google), for delivering notifications if you opt in.
- A crash-reporting provider, for anonymized technical error data.
Each of these providers has its own privacy commitments and is contractually limited to the purpose described above.
Your rights
You can do any of the following at any time:
- Export your data. The app offers a one-tap encrypted backup that you own and control.
- Delete your data.“Reset everything” in Settings wipes the local database immediately. If you have an agent or broker account, email us to delete the server-side record.
- Disconnect your bank. Removing a bank connection in the app cuts off future syncs and revokes the access token at the provider.
- Unlink from an agent. One tap in Settings ends the link. The agent stops receiving readiness updates immediately.
Children
MyDemesne is not designed for or directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.
Security
On-device data is encrypted with a key generated and held by your device. All network traffic uses TLS. The app gates access to your local data behind your phone's biometric or passcode lock.
Changes to this policy
If we materially change how we handle data we'll update this page and notify active users via the app or via the email you signed up with.
